This is part 2 of episode 8. We talk about our time at New York Comic Con 2017. We talk about some of the stuff we did, saw, as well as some of our favorite things to do in New York in general. The books we picked up from the convention are below, along with links to either the publications or Amazon.

We wanted to add that the Bat in the Sun guys’ names are Aaron Schoenke and Sean Schoenke (Aaron’s father). The “tall guy” is Damian Beurer. Our apologies on blanking on their names. We have been looking around but haven’t found a higher quality version of Patient J on YouTube anywhere. If we manage to find it perhaps we’ll do an episode or Side Quest for that on its own. Otherwise, happy hunting! The film is definitely worth your time to find.

  • No Rest For The Wicked: A mysterious cowboy named Reno shows up in the booming silver mining town of Crooked Creek. A card game goes about as badly as it can and Reno runs afoul of the local powers-that-be. Rescued from death in the desert by a local Indian Tribe, for their own purposes, Reno is sent on a mission of vengeance as more than a man, but less than human.
  • Salvagers Vol. 1 – Abandoned Cargo: After the end of the Galactic War, peace blanketed the galaxy; however, planets with little shipping resources turned to piracy or developed small guerilla military units geared to pillage trade ships. This spawned the necessity for trade companies to hire private security contractors for protection. In a hostile galaxy, the risk and reward is high for these crews to clean up the remnants of these lifeless ships known as “Wrecks”. These crews are known as Salvagers.

We recorded this one a couple weeks ago but haven’t had a chance to release it until now. We talk about what we had been up to, and the Justice League and Terminator franchises current states.

Topics

  • Justice League: Warner Brothers just released new character posters for the Justice League film. We discuss our reactions to the posters, and our thoughts on the progress of the promotional materials released so far. We conclude by discussing our theories about the direction the film is going to take.
  • Terminator Casting: James Cameron and Tim Miller managed to snag Linda Hamilton (aka Sarah Conner and Cameron’s ex-wife) in the upcoming reboot of the franchise. We also discuss the current state of the franchise, and our slightly illogical love of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
